Event Recap: Workshops at The Freehand

In September, we partnered with The Freehand, a hotel in downtown Chicago, to offer two free workshops: Zero Waste 101 and Compost 101. The Freehand set us up in their beautiful penthouse space, pictured above. At the Zero Waste 101 workshop in the morning, we handed out zero waste starter kits courtesy of The Freehand, containing a reusable cloth produce bag, metal straw, and bamboo travel fork. At the Compost 101 workshop in the afternoon, we raffled off a free month of compost pick-up service from Healthy Soil Compost, a fun way to set one participant up with an easy way to compost. We loved connecting with everyone who came and answering tons of questions! Many thanks to those who joined us and to The Freehand for welcoming us to their space.
