Event Recap: Composting Workshop at Patagonia

In October, Patagonia invited us to lead a Compost 101 workshop at their Lincoln Park store. Farmer Jon from Healthy Soil Compost joined us to talk to participants from all over the city and nearby suburbs about the various composting methods, at-home composting options, and compost pickup services around the city. We had some great questions about managing a DIY compost operation in various seasons and which materials are compostable using the different methods, and we raffled off some Patagonia gear and a free compost pickup from Healthy Soil Compost. We love spreading the word that composting is easy in Chicago - thanks to everyone who joined us and especially to Patagonia for hosting us!
